The Model 60M is a time
aligned, monitor with exceptional performance. It has exceptional
ability for retrieving the ambiance of the musical performance,
for generating a wide and deep soundstage, and for handling dynamics.This
is because the midrange and tweeter units are designed as a coaxial
arrangement that produces a stable symmetrical radiation pattern
with smooth power response. The woofer is a high technology design
with a solid copper phase plug to eliminate phase irregularities.
The woofer, midrange, and tweeter are time aligned to produce
unparalled imaging and sonic coherence. The excellent phase characteristics
of this design is further enhanced by using a transient perfect,
minimum phase crossover network.
The cabinet of the 60M is finished
in real walnut wood veneer. It is elaborately braced and the
rear panel is sloped two degrees to eliminate box resonances
and colorations. Furthermore, the vertical edges of the cabinet
are accentuated with exotic Peruvian walnut hardwood inserts
that are rounded to prevent sonic refractions and to enhance
the appearance of the 60M.
